Solardo’s Big Success With “Big Talk”, Idris Elba, and Ambitions

Collectively known as Solardo, the duo is comprised of production duo Mark Richards and James Eliot — both hailing from Manchester, England. In conjunction to having the rise of their hard work with a slew of releases and collaborations from Viva, Elrow, Hot Creations, Carl Cox, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, MK, Nicole Moudaber, and many others, the prolific duo is once again stepping into the new year with another memorable flare. On March 3rd, 2023, Solardo will be releasing a collab single with fellow British DJ and producer Idris Elba on the feel-good club tune “Big Talk” via Ultra Records. Playfully dirty, the new release leans its weight on an undeniable beat and equally hypnotic hook, but leaving it at that undercuts of the sexy nuance and swelling basslines.

Next to an exciting release schedule, Solardo is also touring across the globe in festivals and clubs in México, Brazil, the US, Croatia, and Ibiza. Solardo will be touching down in Miami at the end of March for Miami Music Week, where the pair will be playing at ANTS at the Oasis on March 22, Vintage Culture’s party at SLS on March 23, No Sugar Added at the Magic City Villa on March 25, and at the Resistance Club on March 26.

Brighton City Guide with Magnus Asberg

Unsurprisingly, a DJ career that has lasted more than 30 years has seen Magnus play at (probably) hundreds of clubs and parties all across Europe and the U.S. From world-renown super-clubs like Fabric through mountain-side bars to hard-to-find warehouses in a city near you, this man has done ‘em all.

Renters Turn Their Airbnb Pad Into A Nightclub

People usually go to Airbnb to find a place to sleep while visiting a new city. But some tourists have a somewhat different idea altogether.

That was apparently the case when a group of tourists decided to turn their rented one-bedroom Airbnb pad in Canonbury, London, UK into a full-fledged nightclub. Full-fledged in the sense that it had a a DJ, bouncer and a professional sound system set up. And yes, they even charged tickets to enter the flat and managed to draw a 200+ crowd that spilled into the street.

“It sounded like fabric was upstairs,” one neighbor said. “It was just the constant bass thud. We saw one guy carrying in DJ equipment.”

Unfortunately, the pad was located in a residential area, and as such the event frustrated the neighbors trying to get some rest for the night.

“It was like a football crowd,” said another neighbor who was at home at the time with his pregnant wife. “It was the worst night ever. I could hear the music louder than if I was playing it in my own living room.”

The owner of the flat was out of the country at the time. Upon hearing the news, he felt “terrible and couldn’t do anything.”

The local town council members first attempted to put the party to the stop but weren’t able to do so. Eventually, the police arrived at 3AM though they decided to wait for backup due to the size of the crowd.

Police started clearing out the party after 4:30AM, with the party ultimately ending shortly after 6AM
