From being a Toulouse-born techno producer and having founded Requested Soul Records in 2020, Idem Nevi has always been headstrong about his productions. Inspirationally, Idem has been influenced by the likes of Paul Kalkbrenner, Extrawelt, Jon Hopkins, and Recondite.

Receiving support from Richie Hawtin, Charlotte De Witte, Marcel Fengler, 747, and Slam, Idem Nevi makes a strong return after a brief hiatus with his ten-track album, ‘Lost Alchemy’. Idem Nevi’s ‘Lost Alchemy’ album drops on Requested Soul May 20th, 2022.

6AM Guest Mix: Alex Tomb

Starting off December with an ambient fusion is Alex Tomb’s, Guest Mix. Fully known as Alexis Toumpouris, Alex Tomb was born in Nicosia in the 80s and he has always had a passion for electronic music since the early years of his life. At the age of 16, Alex had already bought two turntables and a mixer to start DJing, thus leading him down the musical path of techno. Eventually, in 2003 and 2004, Alex would take fifth place at the DJ Smirnoff Competitions, consequently gaining him more experience and increasing his popularity. As his popularity increased, Alex could only imagine that he would then be DJing regularly at numerous events and even playing alongside the likes of G-Pal, AMX, and Hernan Cattaneo.

Born and raised in Belgium, Joris Biesmans aka Biesmans is quickly becoming a star in the electronic music scene. Thanks to his impressive synthesizer-heavy productions and work as a sound technician at one of Berlin’s most iconic clubs, Watergate, he’s captured the attention of many. At home, Biesmans can be found amongst his many beloved synthesizers, dedicated to honing his studio craft. Having recently quit his technician job to focus on making music full-time, his inspiration to begin the journey on crafting his debut was born out of the pandemic.
