Techno Therapy: Trus’me – I Want You (Alan Fitzpatrick Remix)

Alan Fitzpatrick

Alan Fitzpatrick is a household name amongst the techno community. With high energy marathon sets, world tours, and a vast production catalog he has risen to the top of the underground scene. Today’s dose of Techno Therapy is his floor-filling remix of Trus’me – I Want You.

This is one of those tracks that is getting heavy play from a wide variety of DJ’s. From Noir playing it at Loveland during ADE to Fitpatrick hammering it out in his own sets, the track has already gained traction in the playlists and dance floors worldwide.

The remix has everything you would hope for with Alan Fitzpatrick on remix duty. For starters, the low end and kick are enough to shift the party into another gear. Add in some tight closed hats with a vocal that literally hits “deep inside of you”, and you have the recipe for a heavy dance floor track. The track takes on serious club room vibes when the synth line comes splashing in and continues to push the limits of the dance floor. Needless to say, this is another bomb from Fitzpatrick, and is just what the doctor ordered for this week’s Techno Therapy.

Introducing the Field Trip Series – ADE

Drumcode ADE

Ever find yourself daydreaming about that epic party abroad that you wish you were going to that weekend? Of course you have. We’re guilty of it more than a few times. 6AM Group is introducing the Field Trip Series, a new feature series each week where we highlight that one party that we really wish we were going to.

To start our series this week, where else would we go but Amsterdam for ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) The event includes everything from Ableton workshops, music films, the Traktor Cookery, and of course
a series of club nights so stacked that anyone would have difficulty making a decision on what party to attend.

If we were to make a field trip this week, you’d find as at Gashouder for the Drumcode Showcase. The lineup is loaded with Drumcode staples Nicole Moudaber, Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Sam Paganini, and of course label boss Adam Beyer. We can only imagine what this group of artists will do to Gashouder this Thursday. But it doesn’t end there, ADE is a complete musical takeover of the city for the entire week.

The folks over at ADE have put up an interactive map on their website where users can see exactly where the wide variety of parties and activities are throughout the week. Essentially, a user friendly guide while roaming through paradise. My eyes light up when I see the program that they’ve put together, and if I were to make the field trip to ADE there’s no way I’d miss the demonstration of the 4-D Soundsystem at the Compagnietheater.

As I sit here day dreaming about what could be the best field trip ever, I find peace in the fact that I will at least be able to watch the live streams. Luckily for all of us, Be-at TV is on point and has an excellent selection of events streaming on their website. But seriously…what would we do without those guys?! Until the live steaming stars, maybe we can live vicariously through Alan Fitzpatrick’s mix from last years Drumcode event.
