Having been integral to Coachellaâs after-hours scene since its inception, Framework has built a second home in the desert, hosting events across the valley from Palm Springs to Thermal.
This Spring, Framework continues pioneering new ground, unveiling a never before used venue at Thermal Airport, and creating an after-hours location to showcase some of dance musicâs most admired talents.
Following through with the spectacular Phase 1 and Phase 2 lineup announcements featuring the likes of Derrick Carter, Dixon, DJ Tennis, Fort Romeau, Four Tet, Matt Tolfrey and more, the Robot Heart team has added All Day I Dream boss Lee Burridge alongside friends and Robot Heart residents Swamy, John Dill, and Benjamin Alexander to Further Future’s Phase 3 group. Last month, Further Future announced its Phase 1 lineup for its second festival, which will take place in the spring of 2016. The Phase 1 lineup included big names like Derrick Carter, Dixon, and Matt Tolfrey. The Burning Man organization has announced the art theme for next year’s Burn, titled Da Vinci’s Workshop. The theme is of course inspired by the fundamental inventiveness and social ideas of artisanship of the Italian Renaissance during much of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The Renaissance can be considered the quintessential art period that is taught in pretty much every art and art history class around the world, so it is proper for Burning Man to dive into the roots of Western art’s greatest movement. The Robot Heart art car stands in stark metallic contrast to the never-ending stretch of dust in the middle of the Nevada desert beyond the hedonist paradise of Las Vegas. The barren landscape echoes volumes of the spirits that gather together for a weekend of mind-bending house, techno, analog and experimental music blasting over a world-class sound system.
The team behind the creation of the Robot Heart art car will bring Further Future 002 in 2016 as a follow up to their momentous Beginning. This rare gem of an up-and-coming desert festival has a cult following due to its reputation at Burning Man as one of the best sound camps around. Further Future will bring a larger than life lineup with talent spanning the globe as well as genres including &me, Derrick Carter, Dixon, Matt Tolfrey, Rampue, whomadewho, and more.
The Robot Heart community is a group of like-minded enlightenment seekers that create a unified society of music lovers, artists, dancers, creators, and movers. Further Future represents the intersection of art, science, and community in producing a one of a kind festival experience.
