FAMILY FUNKTION lands in Los Angeles next month on Sept 21-23rd, featuring an action-packed 60+ artist lineup for 40+ hours of continuous music. The event will be taking UNION in the city’s West Side, taking over the multi-room venue with music, art installations, chill-out areas and much more.

On top of announcing an exciting giveaway for this ground-breaking event, we decided to sit down with Sean Horton, the owner and curator of Decibel FestivalĀ andĀ and one of the key brains behind FAMILY FUNKTION.

Ticket Giveaway: FAMILY FUNKTION To Feature Over 40 Hours of Continuous Music From 60+ Artists

DecibelĀ and listed are excited to announce the debut of FAMILY FUNKTION in Los Angeles. The multi-day festival will feature 60+ elite house and techno artists, performing across four stages over 40+ hours straight. In an effort to unite the vast underground dance music community,FAMILY FUNKTION has enlisted the support of 10 hosts, each bringing with them a unique sound, vision and audience. Amsterdam Looking To Introduce Strict Sound Limitations For Festivals Within City Limits

Amsterdam’s City Council could be introducing new limitations that limit sound for festivals within city limits.

The move, which is being pushed by local residents that asking for reduced sound levels, would see decibel limit pushed down to 85db.

According to the proposed measure promoters will “need to take more measures to reduce the inconvenience for residents. For example, the organizers of festivals must conduct permanent acoustic research during the event.”

A spokesman for the council said: “Organizers are now mainly concerned with how the sound sounds on the field. According to the new rules, they will also have to focus on the question of the effect of noise on the environment, and how to minimize the inconvenience.ā€

Decibel Festival Full Lineup Announcement

The announcement listsĀ 94 artistsĀ from various genres, spread across 28 showcases in 10 Seattle venues. Such venues include parks, clubs, boats, theaters, and more. In addition to the music showcases, Decibel includesĀ a conference and workshops on technology and the creation of electronic dance music, visuals, and videos.Ā Featuring international talent such as Andhim,Ā Justin Jay, Julio Bashmore, Bonobo, Function, Sian, Pezzner, Dasha Rush, and countless others alongsideĀ Seattle locals such asĀ Nordic Soul.
