One Night Stand: Carl Cox Scheduled To Play One Night Only at Amnesia, Pacha & DC10 This Summer

Having already spent 15 incredible years at Space Ibiza, the Game Over crew are back with a bold and brave new concept for 2018 that sees the one and only Carl Cox headline a series of very special one-off parties at some of Ibiza’s most iconic clubs including Pacha, DC10 and Amnesia. This comes off the back of Game Over being thrown into the unknown after the closure of Space but coming together to blow the roof off Privilege last season and winning the Best Ibiza Music Event at last years DJ Awards for Pure Carl Cox.

Game Over’s ONE NIGHT STAND will kick off the tour in Ibiza’s most famous venues for a string of power parties over the 2018 season. Amnesia, Pacha and underground favorite DC10 will play host to the Game Over crew during Summer 2018 with a stripped back, no-frills party policy that will offer clubbers a One Night Stand to remember.

12 Open Air Venues You Need to Visit This Summer

If there’s one supreme thing to look forward to during the summer it’s open air parties. Warm weather and blue skies overhead as lush house grooves emit from the speakers – it’s a hard scenario to beat.

Throughout summer it’s not uncommon to see open-air pop up parties such as Richie Hawtin in PlaƧa de la Boqueria, tINI hosting beach events in Ibiza (until they getĀ shut down by authorities), or Subtract and Sublevel taking over a golf course in Malibu. But pop-up parties aside, there’s established venues that will be grooving all summer.

Here are 12 open air venues that we have our sights on this summer.

Circoloco Pulls Ten Walls from DC-10 Ibiza Lineup Following Protests from Fellow DJs and Fans

Ten Walls

Following yesterday’s controversial announcement by Circoloco to book Ten Walls for this coming Monday’s residency party at DC-10 Ibiza, party organizers were hit by a series of complaints from both internationally-renowned DJs in the industry, as well as electronic music fans at large.

Understandably, many felt insulted that the Lithuanian producer, guilty of having made public homophobic remarks last summer through his social media channels, was once again given such a platform to play music. While some electronic music listeners did feel he should be given another chance, the majority of those weighing in were surprised, shocked or even angry at the decision.

Some of the most vocal tweets came from the likes of Midland, Eats Everything and Seth Troxler. The latter is scheduled to play the party still, and we suspect, due to his history as a vocal champion for equality that he had a word or two to say in private about the booking.

A mere 24 hours after the lineup announcement, Circoloco has come out with an official statement pulling Ten Walls from the roster set to play the club on July 4th:

Carl Cox Will Continue to Play Ibiza Following End of Music Is Revolution Residency

CarlCox Space

Electronic music fans around the world have been preparing for what is set to be the last summer of Carl Cox’s Music Is Revolution residency at Space Ibiza.

At first, it was thought that the legend would never play on the Island again, possibly retiring from DJing and touring altogether. Cox has since told the world, via a cover interview with Mixmag, that none of those rumors are true.

In fact, the British icon will not only continue to tour, but will still be featured in a few Ibiza lineups throughout the summer of 2017 and subsequent years.

Throwback Thursday: Blackwater at DC-10 Closing

Blackwater Martinez Bros DC10

Today we throw it back to an old tune dropped at a not so old party. Octave One’s Blackwater has been an iconic house track that is loaded with emotion and just enough groove. Every now and then, an artist will sneak a classic tune into a set, and when it happens the crowd reaction is explosive.

At the infamous DC-10 closing party in Ibiza, which runs from about 4pm until noon the next day, The Martinez Brothers rocked the terrace including Kevin Saunderson’s dynamic remix of Blackwater during their set. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this classic tune and remix from one of Detroit’s legends.
