Diynamic Music was founded in 2006 by Solomun and Adriano Trolio. Built on the motto “Do It Yourself” with the aim of showcasing the best of underground electronic music on the rise, the Hamburg imprint has gone on to launch a ‘2DIY4′ sub-label, a book agency “DIY-BOOKING’, Diynamic Showcases around the globe and Diynamic Festivals in Amsterdam, Berlin, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Istanbul and Tel Aviv.

On an individual level, the German label has launched and supported the careers of some of the most sought-after names in today’s underground dance scene, including paving the way for Solomun’s own weekly residency on Ibiza, the infamous “Solomun +1” events at legendary night club Pacha, and dedicated Diynamic stages at festivals around the world. In the past 10 years, Diynamic has released music from some of the biggest names in the German and international music scene, with more than 80 releases and 14 artists now featuring the Diynamic stamp of approval.

Diynamic N America

To celebrate this milestone, Diynamic is taking their sound on the road with a selection of showcases commemorating 10 Years of top-tier house music. The North America portion of the tour will see them touch down in Mexico City tonight, Art Basel in Miami tomorrow, a Los Angeles warehouse location hosted by Factory93 and 6AM on Saturday December 3rd as well as Stereo Montreal and New York City the following weekend.

We would like to wish Diynamic Music a Happy 10th Birthday with a special selection of our 10 favorite tracks released in the first 10 years of the label’s operation. Enjoy!

Watch David August Perform With The Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin And Frieder Nagel

David August BR

David August has recently been putting his musical skills to use in a special project called ‘X – Poème Symphonique,’ collaborating and performing live with Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin and Frieder Nagel.

The project debuted live on the Boiler Room, featuring a 50 piece classical symphonic orchestra and the electronic prowess of both August and Nagel.

The idea initially came courtesy of Frieder Nagel, who then proceeded to connect August and the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester early last year to bring the project to fruition. David himself then took it on to compose a symphony that combines both the elements of traditional and electronic instruments at the same time, including live production by the electronic producer himself.

You can watch the one-hour video in full below:

Free Download: David August Releases “Patria” featuring Sissi Rada

greece

A true musical craftsman, David August has a firm grasp on intricate melodies and compositions. His recent coloration with Greek vocalist, Sissi Rada, is a testament to that statement.

“Last year I met Sissi Rada. She was singing in Greek and playing the harp when I first listened to her. I asked her to record something with me as I wanted to use her voice for my music. We sat down, I played the harmonies on my Prophet 5 and she would jam over it. Her first take is the take you’re listening to.” – David August

Influenced by the unfortunate political and economic landscape of Greece, Patria conveys a sense of tension that is softened by the music of August and the vocals of Rada. Soft pads, a mellow bass, and gentle melodies play off a very organic drum groove that keeps everything together in one cohesive arrangement.
