Andy Cato From Groove Armada Sells Catalog to Buy a Farm

One half of electronic duoĀ Groove Armada, Andy Cato, has sold the rights to his own tracks in order to buy a farm. In a recent piece forĀ The Guardian, Cato described his journey in the agricultural industry and how he set his sights on pursuing something bigger than just a self-sustaining farm in his back garden. ā€œOn the way back from a gig 15 years ago, I read an article on the environmental consequences of food production. It made for sobering reading and ended by saying: ‘If you don’t like the system, don’t depend on it,ā€ he said.

Massive Attack’s 3D Co-Founds AI System to Expose Climate Misinformation

Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja, aka 3D, is part of a team that has developed a new AI system designed to flag climate misinformation shared on social media. Eco-Bot.Net, which launched late last month, is currently set up to focus on flagging greenwashing ads by large companies, with the team behind the bot describing greenwashing as “a tactic used to mislead consumers about the green credentials of a product or service, or about the environmental performance of a company”. The system has so far flagged around 1,400 social posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter containing false or misleading information about climate change.
