Win 2 Tickets to Prototype 059: Droid Prime – Dax J, Cleric, Dean Paul, Ciren

On August 19th, Downtown Los Angeles’ Lot 613 will be hosting the 59th edition of Prototype, a PRIME showcase in collaboration with esteemed Los Angeles techno label and party curators Droid Behavior.

The lineup is big for this one, featuring the hotly-anticipated Los Angeles debut of Dax J, as well as the return of fellow techno stalwart Cleric.

Dax J appeared on the global radar seemingly overnight, taking the electronic music scene by storm in 2015 with the release of his debut album Shades of Black which was named album of the month by Mixmag. In 2016, Dax J kept the momentum going, releasing a slew of epic dance floor heaters on renowned labels Soma Records, Deeply Rooted, Electric Deluxe, and his own Monnom Black. His talent has earned him nominations as best breakthrough artist by Mixmag, Groove, and DJ Mag, as well as recognition on Resident Advisor’s prestigious top 100. He has since continued to set the standard, doing the honors of closing out ADE, and playing a notorious 10 hour set at Berghain. Dax J has an equally impressive summer scheduled, playing at Dekmantel, EXIT Festival, and pretty much every key club in between.

UK techno powerhouse Cleric has been busy putting forth a continuous succession of noteworthy EPs over the past few years, each one maintaining the same euphoric and hard-driven sound, proving himself over and over again to be relentlessly talented. Earning praise, his creative work has been featured on seminal labels including Clergy, ARTS, and Len Faki’s infamous techno imprint, Figure. Setting the tone for this evening will be Droid resident Dean Paul and Technostate programmer Ciren on b2b duties.
