Premiere: Listen to Translucent’s “Alive” on Precarious Records

There is serendipity in being alive. Those moments that come together just so… From the moog sub 37 to the vocal of Miami native Frankie Diaz to skips and dips of the ride, you have to trust the trip and lose your grip to feel the vibe. Producer Translucent hails from Los Angeles and is a respected musician in his own right.

Classically trained and underground educated, Translucent weaves the rigid digital with the elegant analog to great effect. There is a driving sense that redemption is at hand. Precarious how we acquired this gem, but nab it we did and we’re so happy to share it with you. It’s quirky. It’s dark. It’s emotional. It’s alive, and now out on Cari Golden‘s recently launched Precarious Records.

Cari Golden: The Voice of the Underground

Cari Golden may not be an electronic music producer or DJ, but she has been just as essential an artist in some of techno and house’s best tracks of the last several years.

Singer, songwriter and a true voice of the underground, Cari has contributed to some exciting tracks and remixes by artists the likes of Coyu, Trent Cantrelle, MANIK, DJ T., Maceo Plex, Groove Armada and Sydney Blu. The Los Angeles-based artist has some exciting projects in the future including the launch of her own record label and studio projects with Vincenzo, Ryan Crosson, Roger Sanchez and more.

We had a talk with her in Los Angeles ahead of what is looking to be one of her busiest years yet.

Video: An Afternoon with Cari Golden

Cari Golden Live

As we walk through the door we are greeted by the fragrant aroma of sautéed rosemary and garlic. We’ve just walked into the home of singer and songwriter, Cari Golden, and she’s in the midst of preparing a delicious lunch of fettuccine, asparagus, and burrata cheese so good that it would take you right to Italy.

After we all sit down for lunch, we start enjoying some wine and get around to discussing the thing that drives us all…music. After much hard work, Cari Golden has made an excellent career in electronic music. She is easily one of the most sought after vocalists in this industry. Cari has the ability to inject a tremendous amount of emotion and harmony into dance music, and it’s no surprise that she’s found herself releasing music with the likes of Pan-Pot, Groove Armada, Kaiserdisco, Ryan Crosson, and Anja Scneider, just to name a few.

With several trips complete this year and more music on the way, we had the pleasure of catching up with Cari Golden to discuss everything from her start in the dance industry to her current methodology for writing tracks.

Take a look at our full conversation in the video below, and make sure to keep up to date with Cari Golden’s future musical endeavors
