Burning Man is surely no stranger to impressive art installations, crafty music stages, outstanding music lineups and unique scenescapes. However, this year’s Black Rock City reunion has been featuring a massive and brand-new guest, a full Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet art cart project housing a mobile lookout bar, lounge and even a nightclub.

For Burning Manâs 30th anniversary, the festival organizers have teamed up with YouTube to live-stream the event from August 29 until its last day, September 5. They have installed cameras all around the city which will provide unique views of the festival grounds, especially at night.
Over 70,000 burners are scheduled for attendance and this yearâs theme is Da Vinciâs Workshop which is primarily focused around the mid-15th and early-16th century republic of Florence. During that time, Florence was known for its humanist ideals, rediscovery of science, and the class of entrepreneurs that fueled a revolutionary cultural movement in Western civilization. With Burning Man 2016 just around the corner, the annual Rockstar Librarian’s Music Guide is now out featuring most of the major lineups from the big sound camps!
Maceo Plex, who had to cancel last year due to logistics issues, is set to finally play his debut at the Playa with a special all-night-long b2b2b set alongside DJ Tennis and Rebolledo. Other notable highlights include NU, Thugfucker, Rony Seikaly, Atish, YokoO, Bedouin, Lee Foss, Lauren Lane, Audiofly, Hernan Cattaneo, Behrouz, Visionquest, the Desert Hearts Crew and several sets by Carl Cox just to name a few!
As is always the case, some of the event’s most popular camps such as Robot Heart, Kazbah and Disco Knights will continue to keep things secret until attendees are at Black Rock City. There is no doubt, however, that they will be bringing some of the best and most sought-after acts in techno, house and tech throughout the 10 days of Burning Man.

Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevadaâs Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to building a strong community that builds itself around various forms of art, self-expression, and self-reliance.
Burning Man 2016 is fast approaching and ticket information has just been released detailing this year’s important dates for ticket registration, ticket sales and more. The first important date is this coming Wednesday 10th of February at 12pm (noon) PST, when the first Pre-sale registration opens.
It’s important to know that ticket prices and information has changed for 2016. While price for regular tickets is the same as it was last year at $390 per ticket, a 9% tax is being added amounting to $34 for each ticket. This is to cover the Live Entertainment Tax being imposed which Burning Man ends up falling under. Please note, however, that the creators of Burning Man have submitted an inquiry on the matter with the Nevada Department of Taxation and should the tax be found not to apply after ticket sales commence, they will issue a refund for the 9% collected.
This year’s Leonardo Da Vinci’s Workshop theme has also pushed Burning Man to introducing a small tier of 1,000 tickets at $1,200 for those who are willing and able to offer support through this medium. Pre-Sale ticket prices will also rise from $800 to $990, with the aim to keep prices the same for everyone else.
Please note that all sales require registration through Burner Profiles, so it’s highly recommended that those interested in making the trek to Black Rock City do so as early as possible. Registering does not guarantee access to a ticket or vehicle pass and due to the event’s ever-growing popularity is is important to be on top of dates to increase your chances.
