We start off the week with a beautiful Guest Mix courtesy of BLANCAh, who is fresh off the release of her single “After Rain“ on Renaissance, including a Ăostil & HeĂźk remixes. “After Rain” is part of her second studio album entitled Arias Of Sky which was released also on Renaissance this past May.
Renaissance Records welcome back one of Brazilâs brightest talents, BLANCAh, following last yearâs acclaimed âCold Lightsâ. Released on 6 March, âWalk In Cloudsâ marks the start of a very personal and incredibly special project as itâs the first single to be taken from her forthcoming album, âArias Of Skyâ.
Brazilian techno producer, DJ, and Warung Beach Club resident BLANCAh has now joined Renaissance and has just released “Cold Lights,” with an album dropping in winter. “Cold Lights” is the first original single on Renaissance in over a decade, following the labelâs celebrated The ReMix Collection series, which saw remixes of classic tracks from Maceo Plex, Solomun, Adam Beyer, and Tale of Us.
âCold Lightsâ builds beautifully, featuring BLANCAhâs own ethereal vocal â the perfect foil for the dark, intense beats. Recorded in Brazil on one of the hottest nights of the year, the lyrics were born as BLANCAh took a walk outside to get some fresh air and clear her head.
âI was inspired by the way the lights appeared cold in the heat of the night; to musically capture this contrast I set softer melodic parts, such as strings and my own voice, to drums and percussion with real dance floor power.â –Â BLANCAh
