Pueblo Salva Pueblo is a thirty-five track compilation spearheaded by Ascetic Limited and One Night Collective with the sole aim of collecting donations to help Hondurans affected by âEtaâ and âIotaâ, two strong hurricanes that battered the country of Honduras and Central America.
On October 31st 2019 Ascetic Limited Co-Founder Secus, a greater Los Angeles producer/DJ and Live act also known as 1/2 of Motionen, joined us for our specially curated WORK presents Modularz Halloween Night with Developer at the helm.
Enjoy the recording of his set, a signature Secus performance characterized by deep, atmospheric and hypnotic soundscapes. Secus’ performance came before a four-hour set from Modularz boss Developer.

Ascetic Limited is excited to welcome fresh talent to their roster: San Francisco Based Producer and DJ Lindsey Herbert.
Lindsey is no stranger to the techno circuit, DJing around the US and internationally the past few years. She is now venturing into production, this release marking her debut EP and debut on the Los Angeles imprint. We’re no stranger to Lindsey’s artistry, having featured her on our Global Vibe Radio mix series before, as well as invited her to perform at some of our events in Los Angeles in support of acts the likes of Tommy Four Seven and Ansome.
Ascetic Limited presents its 6th physical release with an EP titled Le Ventana de Overton from the Spain based artist David Att. Formerly known as Attemporal, David is moving forward, pushing his sound of techno further into new realms.
Our premiere from the EP, “De lo Impensable a lo Radical,” has unique groove and intense leads, which make it a powerful weapon in any DJ’s arsenal.

Secus a.k.a Matt Salamone is 1/2 of Motionen and co-founder of the label Ascetic Limited.
Matt has been a musician since 2002, audio engineer since 2005, and producer since 2010. In 2018 he started his solo project, Secus, with a forthcoming release on Ascetic Limited and SF based label, From 0-1.
Ascetic Limited is shifting gears, focusing on solo EPs dedicated to the artists that form the collective. To kick it off they present an EP from renowned Milanese techno producer and AWRY label boss Wrong Assessment, who throughout his career in techno has proven himself to be one of the most interesting producers coming out of Italy.
From his collaborative works with the late Max_M as Overall Severity to his solo works as Wrong Assessment, his tracks are always unique. Influences ranging from Minimal to hard pounding Techno bangers, through House grooves and Ambient arrangements, he still is able to transmit his sound and vision with his music.
Los Angeles imprint Ascetic Limited is back with its second VA, available on wax since August 1st, and coming out digitally on September 17th.
Brooklyn, New York based and founder of Feed The Raver, Craft begins the record with a deep and emotional track, titled “Time Will Tell”. A man that needs little introduction, from M_REC, Wrong Assessment provides us “Golconda”, a groovy track with a funky lead, but dark mysterious vibe.
On the B Side, Argentinian Joaquin Ruiz brings big raw drum sounds with his heavy hitting, yet hypnotic tune, “Rituals”. With a recent release on Materia, Italy based Viels ends the record with “Loneliness”, a massive tune consisting of his signature complex sound which we are premiering for you exclusively today.
This week it’s the turn of Los Angeles audio-visual project Motionen to step up to the Global Vibe Radio decks for what is now our 59th episode.
Composed of Matt Salamone and Carlos Matamoros (a.k.a Altrd Being), the duo produce techno, acid, ambient and dub, and DJ both individually and as a duo. They are also the founders of Ascetic Limited, a young imprint that focuses on the driving sounds of acid, ambient, and deep techno. Since its fairly recent inception, the record label has come out with two strong releases, EPs featuring tracks and remixes by the likes of Christian Gerlach, Dorian Gray, HOBI, Deepbass and Motionen themselves.
2017 is looking like a busy year for Motionen. They began the year with a label showcase in Los Angeles featuring Deepbass and Reggie Van Oers and have just announced Mike Parker as the headliner of their next event in LA on June 24th. Musically they have upcoming release on Lanthan.audio and OFF white records out of Italy and are slated to perform at Synthetik Audio, a Movement weekend day party at The Works.
