The penultimate Louder Than Chaos Vol. 4 has Soma’s techno titans Slam join force with Belgiums finest export, Amelie Lens. A collaboration a long time in the making, the Glasgow duo of Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle bring their trademark crafts, melding it perfectly with Amelies driving synth lines. The output is three outstanding dancefloor killers combining both artists’ unique and powerful styles.
The South is having its techno moment. Seismic Dance Event, the newest boutique house and music techno festival which debuted in Austin, Texas in 2018 is returning for its second event this year on November 12 – 14, 2021. Seismic Dance Event 4.0 boasts a stellar lineup of international house and techno talent.

Techno titan Amelie Lens welcomes promising German newcomer Jastice to the second EXHALE Records compilation VA002, featuring the best and brightest of new talent in the scene. Jastice presents an energetic ravey cut that weaves between faded synths and a softened vocal, accompanied by an entrancing interlude with “Hey You.” With her hard-hitting bomb of a tune, Jastice is right at home amongst other names on the compilation such as 999999999 and Kontain.

It’s an age-old question in the dance music scene and one that recently re-sparked a lively discussion thanks to social media. Dance music fans are split: what makes a good DJ, a good DJ? Is it just the music and technical skills alone? Do artists who put work into their live production also deserve accolades? Do DJs need an onstage persona or gimmick? Should they even be up there enjoying themselves or focused solely on curating the perfect set?
Christmas came early this year. Cercle, the event production company known for creating unique experiences around the world, is back at it. They’ve announced their most special event to date. Amelie Lens returns to Cercle and will be giving fans a healthy dose of techno. The Belgium artist will be performing in an iconic location in Norway.

Parisian DJ, Producer and Elixyr Records label boss AIROD returns to Amelie Lensâ Lenske for his third EP on the label. Following 2019âs Rave Cycle and Voltage EPs, this yearâs LP on MolekuÌl and appearances at some of Europeâs most revered clubs and showcases including the EXHALE event series, the Frenchman has proven himself as a dominant force in today’s techno scene.
EXHALEâs much anticipated first release continues the legacy of Amelie Lens’ EXHALE event series with a fifteen original track compilation featuring old and new friends from each avenue of the underground, including our premiere from today featuring DYEN.
With a shared love of rave culture, the label is a platform for the forward-thinking while simultaneously paying homage to foundations of techno. With this in mind, Amelie gathers familiar faces and upcoming artists such as DYEN to deliver the future sounds of techno via her EXHALE Records imprint.
Letâs talk about the elephant in the room: raving during COVID-19. At the start of COVID-19 the dance music community came together and found alternate solutions to live music events. Necessity is the mother of invention and many quickly became tech experts. From DJs to promoters, they flooded the virtual gates hosting live streams through various channels. However, after almost six months since lockdown first started, it seems as if many have had enough of these pseudo-get-togethers, including some big-name DJs.
