On May 12-15, The All Day I Dream Festival will debut in the idyllic surroundings of Californiaâs Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale, California to offer its first-ever weekend long camping escape.

Viaje De La Vida is his first release with the label since 2020. The EP conjures magic and therapeutic vibes spread out over five tracks. Winding through magical soundscapes and organic production, the Viaje De La Vida project is a collection of subtle, yet potent melodies and dance arrangements.
Hailing from Grenoble, France, OXIA is one of the most respected DJs and producers on the international house and techno circuit, with a career spanning over twenty years, countless releases and multiple world tours. On top of an impressive list of remixes and releases on respected imprints such as Bedrock, Sapiens, REDIMENSION, 8bit, Hot Creations, Saved and Knee Deep in Sound to name just a few, he also fronts his own label, Diversions Music, alongside long-time friend and label partner Nicolas Masseyeff.
When you go to a show, do you care what the DJ does onstage while performing? If a DJ doesn’t pump up the crowd, are they really doing their job? It’s an age-old question in the dance music scene and one that recently re-sparked a lively discussion thanks to social media. Dance music fans are split: what makes a good DJ, a good DJ? Is it just the music and technical skills alone? Do artists who put work into their live production also deserve accolades? Do DJs need an onstage persona or gimmick? Should they even be up there enjoying themselves or focused solely on curating the perfect set?
Argentina is a known hotbed for all things melodic, and Maxi Degrassi is yet another rising young talent that proves this notion. Having become arrested with house, techno, and the genresâ more melodious shades as a child, the producer got his start toying around in FL Studio as soon as he could get his hands on it before being able to upgrade to Ableton Live. He began DJing around this time soon, eventually honing his skills enough to become resident at one of the top parties in his home country, Desert In Me.

Lee Burridge is not one for the limelight, yet somehow he found his way into a career that puts you front and center of it all. Taking to the DJ booth, he’s been commanding dancefloors all over the world for the past 30 years. However, while he’s become a well-respected electronic music mainstay, for Lee Burridge, music has always been the centerpiece. âI was on the microphone asking people to move their cars, so people could go home,â says Burridge reminiscing on his beginnings as a wedding DJ and playing at local nightclubs. âI loved music, and actually is the same reason I DJ today is because I love music and love to share it.â

One gets the impression, however, that the best may be yet to come.

Just this week, Lost Desert and label boss Lee Burridge released their collaborative album, Melt, on All Day I Dream. The album aims to take its listeners on a journey through the ethos and creative wonder of its authors.
It begins on a trek through ambient plains with its title opener, followed by âSailing Without A Compass,â which offers a pensive space with melancholic woodwinds and sweeping cinematic string sections. Euphoria ensues in pieces like the sparkling âFloat Onâ and the buoyant vocal number âMibaleâ with Junior, while the wistful âChristina, Daydreamingâ closes out Melt on a nostalgic note.
In honor of the album release, and of Lost Desert’s specially-curated Global Vibe Radio mix, we decided to sit down for a chat with the DJ/producer to talk about the album, his studio gear and musical inspirations.
