Ambient techno fans can celebrate the turn of the decade knowing that more musical goodness is coming their way courtesy of Joachim Spieth’s Tides.
Spieth’s first production came in the ’90s, making the upcoming release of his second Long Player at the turn of the new decade more significant than ever. He has proven his skills as a music producer through the likes of John Peel, Martin L. Gore, The Orb, Sven VĂ€th, and Juan Atkins among others. Spiethâs musical inventory has grown and been shaped over the two last decades, allowing him to define a specific sound signature for his label Affin, oscillating between techno and ambient soundscapes.
Recently a young, enigmatic Asian artist by the name of Einox caught the attention and ears of Affin record label boss Joachim Spieth.
Living and working in Seoul, South Korean, Einox debuted in 2019 with the release of EP on the Spanish label ‘Circular Limitedâ, supported by various artists. Starting a live performance at the same time that he released his EP from Italy’s âSubosc Recordsâ, he recently became a high-profile rookie artist in Seoul’s deep techno scene.
A major in aesthetics and art theory, he constructs his own sound with a variety of aesthetic perspectives. He strategically borrows contemporary postmodern works of art, and uses a variety of styles with constructive sound. Also, Einox goes beyond simple dance music, leading listeners to some phenomenological experience.

The 173rd edition of Global Vibe Radio showcases the deep soundscapes of Svarog.
Svarog is one of the Slavic mythology gods, the deity of metal and fire, the forge operator. It is also the artistic name of Oleksa Moroz, musician and DJ from Lviv, Ukraine who draws musical inspiration from mountains and architecture.
His career started in 2015 with the release of an EP on the cult label Circular Limited, which showcased the best deep and bold sounds of techno, where textures and ambiences match the power of the beat.
Ukraine techno producer Svarog returns to Joachim Spieth’s Affin for his third 12â on the label, this one titled Shadows.

Inspired by mountains and architecture, Svarog combines saturated timbres, industrial sound and atmospheric textures for his signature soundscapes.
