Amsterdam Looking To Introduce Strict Sound Limitations For Festivals Within City Limits

Amsterdam’s City Council could be introducing new limitations that limit sound for festivals within city limits.

The move, which is being pushed by local residents that asking for reduced sound levels, would see decibel limit pushed down to 85db.

According to the proposed measure promoters will “need to take more measures to reduce the inconvenience for residents. For example, the organizers of festivals must conduct permanent acoustic research during the event.”

A spokesman for the council said: “Organizers are now mainly concerned with how the sound sounds on the field. According to the new rules, they will also have to focus on the question of the effect of noise on the environment, and how to minimize the inconvenience.”

DVS1 Invites Helena Hauff, Karenn, Oscar Mulero and CEM to Play Wall of Sound at ADE

Reaktor Events announced their double-whammy of shows for this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event with two lineups filled with some of the top names in the international techno circuit.

The first of these events is on Thursday, October 19th, and features DVS1‘s iconic Wall of Sound. The Minneapolis techno icon and Reaktor have teamed up to bring the unparalleled sonic dance floor experience to Warehouse Elementenstraat for a night to remember, featuring Helena Hauff, Oscar Mulero, Karenn and CEM in the room boasting the impressive sound system.

Asia’s Top Underground Acts to Be Featured at ADE 2017

The much anticipated Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is returning this October in Amsterdam, and you can expect the event to continue showcasing more top underground acts from Asia.

Amsterdam-based booking agency AMSbookings.ASIA will be present to showcase more Asian acts, following hot in the heels of last year’s ADE event where they featured many of China’s top techno and house acts. Among them were Acid Rabbit, Kaiser Souzai, The Shanghai Restoration Project, Sparkling Elements, Toni Rios and Mickey Zhang.

This year, AMSbookings.ASIA’s event at ADE is called Nachtverblijf ADE – Nakadia & Friends, and will be held at VLLA. As you may have guessed, the lineup curated by Thailand’s most successful underground music import, Nakadia.

DGTL Announces ADE Programming Featuring Three Consecutive Parties at the Scheepsbouwloods

DGTL have just announced their long-awaited schedule and lineup for Amsterdam Dance Event 2017, consisting of three consecutive parties at their regular hangout, the NDSM Docklands.

On headline duties on Thursday are Russian hero Nina Kraviz and mad musicians Modeselektor. Friday and Saturday will see Paradise and Kompakt take over with label bosses Michael Mayer and Jamie Jones inviting Dubfire, Apollonia, Gui Boratto and Apparat to join them on top of the bill for their respective label nights.

The making of a stellar lineup is combining the old with the new, the heavyweights with the young talents: a skill that the team at DGTL has mastered and will show on their first day when Nina Kraviz and Modeselektor are joined in the first area by Âme, Jon Hopkins and De School’s Oceanic. The second area will be the domain of residents Ryan Elliott, De Sluwe Vos and Fort Romeau.

Paradise is back for round three after two successful edition where they have proven their ability to take everybody to cloud nine. Familiar faces Richy Ahmed, Patrick Topping, Andrea Oliva, Detlef and the boss himself Jamie Jones are accompanied by DGTL x Paradise first-timers Dubfire, Apollonia, Matador, Peggy Gou and Lauren Lane.

After four sold-out editions of DGTL x Kompakt, the label from Cologne returns for what is bound to be another memorable event. Michael Mayer will play b2b with good friend Patrice BĂ€umel. More musical ingenuity comes from Weval [live], Pachanga Boys, Danny Daze, Locked Groove and Tobias Thomas. The two latter are up for opening duties, and the whole gang will be joined by two special guests, Apparat and Roman FlĂŒgel. While both haven’t released on the German label, their quality will elevate the night to a whole new level.

Dockyard Festival Announces ADE 2017 Lineup with Sven VĂ€th, Âme, Oscar Mulero, Ben Sims

The well-established and influential Dockyard Festival returns to Amsterdam during Amsterdam Dance Event 2017 on Saturday October 21st 2017. Promising to be the most spectacular edition to date, it all goes down in the new location of N1-Park in Westpoort with Sven VĂ€th, Âme, Eats Everything, Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Octave One and many more all scheduled to play.

Reaktor Delivers Powerful Lineups for Thursday and Sunday ADE 2017 Showcases

Reaktor Events, the Amsterdam techno promoters known for their powerful lineups and well-curated techno events such as Unpolished, Era, Katharsis, and Nassau Festival, have just announced their ADE lineup and it’s heavy.

This year the brand will see itself present not one but two nights of raw, heavy techno at two of the city’s most notorious warehouse venues. Reaktor will feature DVS1’s Wall of Sound on Thursday October 19th at Warehouse Elemenstraat and a second event at NDSM Warehouse on Sunday, October 22nd.

Amsterdam Dance Event takes place from the 18th to 22nd of October, 2017. Since its inception in 1996, ADE has grown into a globally renowned platform for the international dance and electronic music scene. Awakenings Release ADE 2017 Lineups: Two Day and Five Night Specials

2017 is the year that techno monolith brand Awakenings is celebrating its 20th Anniversary.

Continuing the party, which already started with official celebrations in April and is about to be revisited during Awakenings Festival this month, the Dutch event series will expand further during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2017, 18 thru 22 October 2017. Just like last year, five nights of Awakenings can be expected at the Gashouder on the Westergasfabriek terrain in Amsterdam. What is new, however, are the two day events scheduled for Friday October 20 and Saturday October 21. Awakenings is a fixed value of ADE, with invariably sold-out events and some of the best lineups in the area of techno and all its diversity.

Amsterdam Dance Event Announces 2017 Dates and International Expansion

Between the 18th and 22nd of October 2017, Amsterdam will once again be invaded by hundreds of thousands of electronic music fans and industry experts for the latest edition of Amsterdam Dance Event. Following our presence at ADE 2016, and the many lessons we learned while there, we cannot but recommend the trip for anyone involved with or passionate about dance music.

ADE has now become the world’s largest club-based festival and conference for electronic music, featuring all facets of the world’s scene from EDM to Techno and from Trance to Trap. Featuring over 2,200 artists and 550 speakers in a record-breaking 140 venues, the 2016 edition was ADE’s largest yet, with around 375,000 expected national and international visitors for the 22nd edition later this year.
