Heartless kept his productions closely guarded until unleashing them on Steve Bicknell’s 6dimensions. Honing his craft with the gradual building of his studio. Drawing on influences from the likes of Aphex Twin and Surgeon combined with the rise of modular equipment, Heartless was armed with a medium to express.

Following up on his two previous releases on 6dimensions Impulse Model and Internal Crosstalk Heartless now presents us with Johari Window, expanding on the past and presenting the future sound of Heartless, full of the expected and of course the unexpected, hazy modular sequences, stretched, crushed and laid over kick drums from beyond.

Steve Bicknell Returns to 6dimensions With Four-Track “Story Character” EP

Steve Bicknell has been at the forefront of the ever-growing electronic music scene since its infancy, his work as a producer, DJ, label-owner and promoter paving the way for much of techno’s success in the UK and beyond. His career spanning over 25 years, has seen Steve grow as a DJ and producer to one of the UK’s most established, accomplished and respected techno artists and credited by many as a true pioneer.

After stepping away from producing and travelling as a DJ, in 2005, Steve resurfaced in 2013, producing three EPs for his Cosmic Records imprint, exclusive tracks for Ostgut Ton, leading to the birth of 6dimensions and the collaborative project “LSD” with Function and Luke Slater.

Steve returns to 6dimensions for his fifth release on the label, presenting a four-track EP Story Character, filled with crafted sound design, mind-shifting, dance-floor techno. Steve again shows his ability to project feeling and emotion over thought, remaining true to his beliefs, with further projects to be discovered

Premiere: 6dimensions Founder Steve Bicknell Releases “Constant Movement” EP on Granulart Recordings with Oscar Mulero Remix

6dimensions founder Steve Bicknell teams up with Granulart Recordings to release two slamming techno cuts entitled Constant Movement including a remix from PoleGroup’s Oscar Mulero.

Bicknell has been at the forefront of the UK’s electronic music scene since its infancy. His career spanning over a 25-year period has seen him release a number of standout records on his Cosmic Records imprint before starting his 6dimensions label some years later which acts as a home for his newer releases. Steve Bicknell’s productions truly embody his no-nonsense approach to music, delivering energetic yet captivating sonics which also fluidly translates into his DJ sets. ‘Constant Movement’ sees Steve join Kessell’s Granulart Recordings following the likes of Developer, Oscar Mulero, Head Dress and the label boss himself.
