Soundcloud has always been known as one of the most popular platforms for music discovery across numerous genres – and it just got even easier to find new sounds to grace your ears.
This new feature is an on-demand streamer that lists the top 50 songs for that week and is available for over 30 genres. It comes as another way of discovering new music that Soundcloud offers, along with the “Explore” and “Related” features that already existed on the platform.
You can view the top 50 across all genres, or for one genre in particular. Genres to choose from include alternative rock, Dance & EDM, Drum & Bass, Folk & Singer-Songwriter, Deep House, Pop, Reggae, and more.
The charts feature songs both new and old, as you can see familiar mentions like Major Lazer’s “Lean On” (feat. MØ) – out for almost a year – alongside 3Lau’s remix of The Chainsmokers that has been out for only two months. It also includes snippets of songs mixed in with full-lengths.
