The next EP in Blueprintâs 25th birthday series sees another collaboration for label head, James Ruskin. Following EPs alongside both Truncate and Mark Broom, this time Ruskin teams up with DVS1 on their track “Page 4” for the Chapter One EP.
Back in 2016 the label was celebrating its 20th anniversary and the release of the âStructures and Solutionsâ compilation which featured their track, âPage 1â. As one of the highlights of the compilation, it received multiple plays on BBC Radio 1 and a place in Resident Advisorâs Top 50 Most Charted tracks during its month of release.
Taking the hugely atmospheric âPage 1â as their starting point, they continue with 3 more fully immersive techno âpagesâ to create this full EP.
The EP closes with âPage 4â, a track that combines huge atmospheres with a driving kick and hypnotic arpeggiated synth that dynamically ebbs and flows. The evolution of the driving dark symphony of sounds takes you on the techno journey that you would expect from the two artists.
