Premiere: Swiss Producer Olan! Returns To His 0x01 Records With Resounding Techno “Postbreakout Takeover” EP

Swiss producer Olan! is back on his 0x01 Records label with five resounding techno cuts entitled Postbreakout Takeover.

Olan! is a Swiss sound designer and live act with a knack for working his modular gear to the maximum. Since 2013 he’s playing techno live sets all around Switzerland and occasionally in Germany, France and Berlin. In 2018 he launched his 0x01 Records imprint for his own material in addition to supporting up and coming acts such as Ghostclusters, Amen Skulker and Der White Rauschen.

Title track ‘Postbreakout Takeover’ begins with thunderous kicks, raw modulations and resounding, shattering synths that weave above the techno groove throughout before ‘Our Digital Skies’ lays focus on syncopated, breaks tinged rhythms, shimmering low end and emphatic, angelic pads in the background.

‘Velocity Scanner’ is an acid-fuelled roller with mean, spiralling 303s, shooting lasers and piercing oscillations while ‘0x4034A3’ offers up a broken techno cut featuring blistering percussion, intensely weighty sonics and entrancing pads underneath. ‘Cosmic Hierarchies’ rounds off this haunting package with off-kilter, raw drums, alarming soundscapes and powerful moods that make you feel uneasy yet excited all the same
