Premiere: Secluded Releases “Heat Seeker” on Eponymous Label, Complete with Two Jay Clarke Remixes

Secluded is the eponymous artist and label project from Stephen Gorrie, who is also known to many as Hans Bouffmyhre, owner of the influential Sleaze Records in Glasgow, Scotland.

This alias was launched in 2012 and has a new focus for his production style. Strong Berlin and Detroit influences have seen his original music on labels such as Slam’s Soma, Dustin Zahn’s Enemy and London’s EarToGround for example.

Enlisting reworks from leading artists including Jonas Kopp, Reeko, Truncate, Woo York, Markus Suckut, ROD, Shifted, Sigha and more, Secluded’s club ready sound is widely loved and always pushing forward to new heights.

Blackaxon boss Jay Clarke is hotly tipped with appearances on Ben Klock’s Klockworks and supplying remixes for a variety of high pedigree labels such as MOOD, 20/20 Vision, Fiedeltwo, Be As One, Suara and Kneaded Pains.

“Heat Seeker” is a signature Secluded piece with a thundering backbone and energetic stabbing lead track that demands attention.

Jay Clarke’s V1 remix focuses on a sharp rhythm with metallic elements, using suspense and a tool like style for the discerning DJ.

V2 switches the sound up, injecting more energy with rolling elements adding a new atmosphere with droning chords filled with emotion.

Closing the EP, “Misleading” has a jacked up groove oozing peak time power and a freaky, looped vocal chant taking things up a notch.

Secluded’s Heat Seeker EP with Jay Clarke Remixes is out May 27th and available on Beatport
