Today we’re happy to be premiering a track from one of South Korea’s best exports, Scøpe.
Released as part of the latest V/A release on Oslated Seoul, “Geumoreum 금오름 黑岳” literally translates to Black Mountain, as the artist himself explained:
“Geumoreum” located in Jeju is a parasitic volcano ‘Oreum’ – regional dialect of Jeju that means a mountain having a single peak- which is 427.5 meters above sea level. Geumoreum is sometimes notated in Chinese characters ‘黑岳’ or ‘Black Oreum’ which means ‘Black Mountain’ since the soil of Geumoreum colors black.

Oslated’s third compilation album V.A – Jeju 濟州 [OSC003] will be released on January, 21st 2019.
This compilation consists of meaningful tracks produced by significant producers from various parts of the world who also contributed to Oslated mix and releases and have a good friendship with Oslated Seoul.
“The titles of the tracks are about my feeling that I experienced at Jeju island. These tracks are based on the abstract relationship through the continuous communication between me and the artists.”
