A collaboration between Unknown Movements’ label boss Other Form — whose recent releases have earned support from Rrose, Cassegrain, and Paula Temple — and Alternate Current — whose debut EP was released on the label in June with support from the likes of DVS1, Amotik, and Kessel — these two tracks highlight both producers’ preference for texture-laden techno, as rich in sound design as they are in floor-ready melodic turns.

After an early career making dubstep, London-based Tom McShane made the move to atmospheric, textural techno and unveiled his new monicker Alternate Current.
His releases have been supported by Marcel Dettman, Laurent Garnier, Slam, DVS1, Len Faki, Exium, Adriana Lopez, Takaaki Itoh, Pris, DJ Pete and others.
