Black Rock City, the temporary city constructed in the middle of Black Rock Desert every summer in occasion of the world’s craziest and biggest festival: Burning Man.
70,000 gathered in the desert once more this past week for 10 days of full immersion at the annual Burning Man arts and music festival, an event that has been taking place since 1986 and that attracts people from all corners of the globe.
Radical self-expression, music and art are part-and-parcel of the experience, all commanded by the 10 principles of Burning Man, which include radical inclusion, gifting, decommodification, self-reliance, effort, civic responsibility, leaving no trace, participation, and immediacy.
