Maceo Plex Rijksmuseum

Rembrandt, Vermeer, Vincent van Gogh and… Maceo Plex. For one night only, the Barcelona-based producer and DJ will be joining some of the greatest painters and sculptors in history when he performs atAmsterdam’s Rijksmuseum.

Set to take place next week on the 21st of October, this will be the first event of its kind for Rijksmuseum, who has previously never collaborated with an electronic music artist in its long rich history. The high-profile ADE gig will take place at the museum’s bike passage, matching the venue’s vision of elaborating new exciting ways to allow visitors to experience the art contained within its walls.

Rijksmuseum is famous world over as being the home of some of the greatest works of art from the Dutch Golden Age, but also boasts an important and large collection of music instruments as well as various paintings depicting scenes of music. Testament to that, is the fact that Eric Estornel, known to his fans as Maceo Plex, visited the museum personally where he listened to unique recordings from its collection of classical instruments as a source of inspiration.

Although the event is free of charge, groups of 2-4 will need to register before the 12am deadline of October 18th.
