999999999, which reads as “Nine Times Nine,” is an abstract concept from the minds of two people who do not feel the need to define it.
It is spontaneous, random, unlimited. This project, officially started in July 2016, has already affected several important Clubs and Parties in different cities in Europe and aroused much interest even outside the continent.
First two releases on their label “Nine Times Nine” and the most recent appearance on Planet Rhythm special “303” vinyl release were immediately sold out after few hours.
Live is what they are whether in or out of the studio, they are spontaneous. Improvisation with hardware is the key element of their performance and is impossible to replicate.
The duo have performed some key dates in Europe so far, including at Amsterdam Dance Event, Griessmuehle in Berlin, Revive Festival, Zoo in Geneva, KHIDI in Tbilisi, Voltage Festival in Belgium, Westound Festival and more. On top of their releases, it’s key mixes published via online outlets that have gained 999999999 plenty of respect world over, including their mix for Slam Radio which has nearly 60,000 listens, another for MONUMENT and a third for Gynoid.
999999999 are now readying for their U.S. debut tour in February 2019. Scheduled so far appears to be three gigs in total, with the live act set to perform in San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles, with more dates in the work still.
The duo are mysterious, but their music is surely one defined by uncompromising quality. Do not miss them when they come Stateside.
