Hi ADRIANNA thanks for talking to SIXAM, how are you doing?

Hi, I’m really well. Thank you so much!

How has your background and diverse musical experience influenced your production and DJing style?

I come from a mixed background. My father being from Trinidad listened to a lot of Soca, my mother liked classical and jazz, I studied various dance styles for years and lived in many countries, so I’ve been exposed to a lot of different cultures and musical styles. All these things factor in when I hear particular sounds either in building a set or producing tracks.

What are some notable releases and achievements that have contributed to your rising status in the tech house and techno scene?

My first Tech House release ā€˜Take You’ on Casa Rossa’s label did really well, breaking the top 10 in the Beatport Hype charts and my last release ā€˜Confidence’ on Stashed received a lot of DJ and Radio support. I’m also really proud of what we’ve accomplished so far with my label, and there’s lot more to come yet!

How did you decide to start your label, Temple House Music?

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. For me, the label is about building a team and brand where we are all working together to achieve greater success. It’s really important to me to be in control of how things are presented as I have a really clear vision of what I want the label to be, and the kind of music I want to champion.

What were some of the challenges and achievements of running your own label?

I’m learning so much and it’s really pushing me to focus more on the business side of music which I believe is invaluable as an artist. I definitely prefer the creative aspect, but I’m really excited for this next stage. I would say the biggest challenge is the added responsibility to meet all my targets and the biggest achievement is the opportunity to work with others and build something bigger.

What are you excited about with your new release ā€œFallingā€?

I’m excited for more people to hear the song, dance to it and enjoy it! It’s been getting an amazing reception so far, people seem to really connect with it, so that’s been amazing to see. I want people to have an emotional connection to the music I’m putting out, and that will definitely continue with my future releases.

Have you already tested it on the dancefloor and if so what has the crown reaction been so far?

I have tested it a couple of times once at a festival last year and it went well but something was missing, I went back and added the female English vocal to play off the male Latin one and then I took it for another spin at a club gig. It totally went off and I was like ā€˜Yes!’ this is a great tune!! Road-testing records is such an important part of the process. Ultimately I’m making music for people to dance to, so you need to see how people vibe with the tracks before you can consider them properly finished.

Thanks again for talking to us, what else can we expect from you in 2023?

I have plenty more releases this year so keep your eyes out for that. There will be Temple House Music Events and Stages as well as gigs in the UK, Portugal, and Spain.
