An Emerging DJ from France, TRYM cuts the boundaries between techno and trance. Owner of the label ‘COLOR’, he has quickly become renowned for his emphatic artistic preference, completely mirroring his personality; driven, powerful and polychronic. His latest creation titled ‘Trinity’, comes as the first-ever artist release on Amelie Lens‘ hugely successful label EXHALE, delivering a generous serving of hardened dancefloor energy and intrinsic euphorics.Â
The original of ‘Trinity’ (A1) instantly plunges you into the depths of TRYM’s undeniably unique sonic signature. Urgent industrious rhythms collide with a combination of atmospheric soundscapes, celestial vocal constructions and exhilarating melodic runs, carving out a hair- raising journey filled with rapturous emotions and endless peak-time danceability. Amelie flips the script with a trademark spin on ‘Trinity’ (A2), centring around driving drum grooves, piercing percussive sequences and roaring analogue musicality. Flooding the mix with callous beats and ever-intensifying energy, its combination of techno prowess and climactic storytelling serves as a firm reminder of Amelie’s ability to produce show stopping big room tracks. The release closes on ‘Beyond Light’ (B1), providing another blisteringly unique offering from TRYM. Gliding effortlessly between uplifting transitions and potent vocal-led techno segments – it’s the perfect example of TRYM’s ability to combine unsubmissive underground vibes with an unexampled stylistic identity.
A tireless perfectionist, wherever he goes, TRYM always seeks to deliver his best performance. A hard worker, he is always looking for something new, colorful and fresh. His biggest challenge: to move his audience during his sets and tell his story, which started 6 years ago. With that being said, TRYM has a chat with SIX AM to give us some insight on that story, as well as talk about all the buzz swarming him.
Welcome to 6AM TRYM. Weâre excited to get to know more about you as an emerging DJ, your music style, and releasing your solo project on Amelie Lensâ label and EP âEXHALEâ. Walk us through the very beginning. When and where did you feel a pull toward creating and sharing music, especially Fast Techno and New Trance music?Â
Hi, whatâs up? When and Where!? I would say since the beginning of my career, I always had this desire to play high bpm and melodic tracks. I feel comfortable and very natural in this area. Now I tend to extend the range, playing from 130 to 160 bpm, as it enables me to navigate through so many different genres and possibilities! It excites me a lot. I can play techno, fast trance or melodic techno during my sets and itâs basically the same for the music I release. I donât want to stick to one single genre. I am only looking for the feeling and the melody.
As a Parisian DJ and producer, Paris is well known for its beautiful art and music culture. Were there any clubs or venues in Paris/France that made you feel inspired by the Techno scene? Any favorite venues or DJs youâd like to share?Â
Paris has continued to âgrow upâ over the past years, and I think we can now say that  the techno culture represent an important part of the Parisian Scene. There are more and more techno parties, festivals and raves that made their own international reputation, enabling emerging local artists to gain visibility. As a French producer itâs a real pleasure to be able to find quality venues and promoters all over the country. Would it be in Lyonâs Transbordeur, Toulouseâs Arena, Nantesâ Warehouse and the brand-new Parisianâs Phantom, we always find an amazing crowd being both receptive and ready to rave; this is pure pleasure.
Getting into the musical project âEXHALEâ, your tracks âTrinityâ and âBeyond Lightâ on the EP greatly showcase your fast Trance style of melodically-euphoric sounds. What was the creative mindset behind making this a dancefloor hitter?
Thanks for your kind words. To be honest I never jump in the studio with a specific idea. Iâm just following my emotions, my feelings, sometime it sounds good, sometimes it doesnât and sometimes it is even worse than this! But I am not following rules, Iâm not trying to stick to something specific, I want to be as free as possible. I like the idea that every time Iâm opening Ableton, I donât know where I am heading. I like to tell myself that this is my own recipe, having no plan, remaining as open-minded as possible and above all running away from anything that could look like a pattern.

Speaking of âEXHALEâ, the acclaimed DJ and producer Amelie Lens is also featured with her own remix of âTrinityâ. Amelie also shared that sheâs âvery happy to have such a talented upcoming artist like TRYM on boardâ. We know that youâve worked hard to achieve this kind of recognition, so we express our congratulations on your unstoppable grind. Can you share with us how you and Amelie musically connected and resonated with one another on the EP âEXHALEâ?Â
Iâm very proud and feel thankful to Amelie for this opportunity. We have talked about it, last summer while being in Ibiza and we both realized that we wanted to do a special EP. I had a bunch of new tracks in my computer, and I wanted to make an important EP out of it. On her end, Amelie wanted to take a new turn and launch a series of solo EPs on Exhale, so the timing was perfect.
The idea of the remix came very early in the discussions, and of course it sounded like a stunning idea to me. From there, it was very easy and natural leading us to finalize the EP in a few weeks. It really gave me lot of energy to keep pushing and creating, and I definitely canât wait for the next steps.

We canât forget about mentioning your own label COLOR. What inspired you to create your own platform? As a fun question, in what ways do you maintain and find âcolorâ and vibrancy in your life?Â
In the very beginning I really wanted to create a label to push melodic tracks, trance vibe and of course âgoodâ vibes. As I said above, I like to be free, and being able to release the music that you love without asking anybody sounded like the utmost freedom to me. I am now really happy that it also enables emerging talents to reach a larger audience.
Well surprisingly enough I think that I maintain « color » and vibrancy in my life by making it as healthy as possible. Every day I try to collect every chunk of positive energy available around me and to only drink water (sparkling of course).
Thanks again for joining us TRYM. Before we wrap up, youâre defined as a polychronic hard worker who is always looking for something ânew, colorful, and freshâ. Are there any ânew, colorful, and freshâ projects or collaborations on the horizon for you and your label?Â
Sure there are, we are working hard with my all my team to always release new projects. Some of them are coming very soon. My very first tailored audio-visual show, my next release « Itâs better when we fake it », out on April 7th and also a new Various Artist incoming on COLOR, so stay tuned, this is just the beginning!
