The first U.S. Electronic Music Awards Show has arrived, and it’s about time the electronic music industry receives the attention it deserves in the United States.

The inaugural Electronic Music Awards & Foundation will debut on April 14 as a live event in Los Angeles; it will be broadcasted on Saturday, April 23 in the United States on Fox TV.

This comes from the fruits of the labor of Paul Oakenfold, who partnered with Fox and TV4 Entertainment, a production company, to produce the event. EMAF will feature live performances, award presentations, and a red carpet. You can expect to see some of the biggest names in the industry there, though the attendees have not been announced yet.

Not only will the awards recognize present-day, top-trending acts, but it will also honor the pioneers of the industry that we all know too well. Voting for the awards starts February 15th.

EMAF will air at 8pm ET/9pm PT on April 23 and will be directed by Russell Thomas – make sure you’re there to catch the action.
