Asking someone their favorite artist can lead to a wide variety of answers. British artist, Andrew Weatherall, is very high at the top of my list, and to start this Monday we have Part 2 of his Waxwerk Set. An extended journey with a wide range of musical selections.
After listening to all of Part 1 of his Waxwerks set I was eager to start the second. Part 2 is another extended journey coming in at over two hours, but the best part: it flows and will have your ears locked in to the session. Warm and gritty saw basslines, tense suspended strings, futuristic leads…the mix has it all.
His sound is experimental, intriguing, and he delivers it in such a way that leaves dancefloors feeling more than satisfied. With releases on prominent British labels Warp Records and Rotters Golf Club, his catalog and music selection never ceases to amaze. This mix is the perfect way to end the day and get through any Monday blues.
