Since its inception in 2014, Dusk Notes have maintained their philosophy of pushing the more experimental spectrums of electronic music whilst accommodating to both the dancefloor and the introspective listener.
Following Cory Jamesâ âExtension of Lifeâ that picked up support from the likes of Anthony Parasole, Francois X, Shlomo and Steve Bicknell, the label founders invite the first guests onto the imprint including UK artist and Auxillary founder ASC and Japanâs Imugem Orihasam who together have releases on Semantica Records.
ASCâs âBarycentreâ begins proceedings with dubbed-out bass grooves fusing together with shimmering pads and twisted percussion to create a deeply, entrancing atmosphere.
Next up, Imugem Orihasamâs âAnacasicoâ is an effervescent dance track deploying delicate ambience, crunchy modulations and alleviating pads throughout.
On the flip, âThe Lightworkerâ by Soramimi delivers eccentric synth waves, haunting vocal samples and punchy low frequencies before Cory James rounds things off with âC61â through laser shooting oscillations, otherworldly atmospheres and wavering drones floating above.
