We are proud to announce that our own Jamie Charles will be joining the Draft Records roster with the release of his new EP, Counter Culture, on March 2nd. With the release of his Counter Culture EP, Jamie Charles will be in the company of artists such as Neverdogs, H-Foundation, and Chad Andrew; all being more than familiar with dance floor certified grooves.
The Counter Culture EP will feature two original tracks from Jamie Charles, with Low Tide and Tara Brooks on remix duty. The title track, Counter Culture, is a seriously deep number that fits a perfect vibe for Draft Records. Moody synths swash around the spectrum as a sub rattling bass line keeps everything glued together, with just enough sounds from left field to give it a cerebral touch.
Casting Shadows is the second track, and it hits the spot. As soon as the track starts playing one can easily see how itâs an instant vibe setter. With a smooth breakdown and ominous vibe, Casting Shadows is a monster from the deep ready to meet the dance floor.
Low Tide holds nothing back with the remix of Casting Shadows. A moody and ominous atmosphere is clearly present, but the remix is loaded with serious grooves as the percussive textures evolve throughout the track. Overall it’s an excellent compliment to the two original tracks from Jamie Charles on the EP, and you can do no wrong with any of these selections.
