Pierce Fulton has unfortunately passed at the age of 28. His older brother confirmed the news via a statement on May 3, 2021. Sources cite he had an ongoing struggle with mental health.
In his passing, he is survived by his brother, sister, parents, and wife. Pierce broke out as an artist with a single “Kuaga (Lost Time)” in 2015, though his last album had released last August. The family created the email address pierce@piercefulton.com for fans and friends to send any memories or pictures with the DJ/producer. There is no question that his death is tragic, and unfortunately, these past 12 months have claimed far more artists than can be counted.
In wake of his passing, Fulton’s family has vowed to start an organization that would create “real and lasting positive change” for anyone struggling with their mental health. Though the organization could help change lives, right now the family needs the time and space to heal, in order to come back with uncompromising aid. This tragedy has come at a moment in transition, and while healthcare has centered itself around COVID-19, the pandemic has also left a giant toll on those who already struggle with mental health.
There is no cause that can shorthand the tragedy of his death, and no silver lining that rationalizes his struggle. Artists undergo many struggles in life, particularly with mental health. Artists and industry members have poured their support in light of Fulton’s untimely passing.

I met Pierce Fulton only once & he struck me as kind, socially awkward & someone who struggled to fit in. I’m very sad to hear that he’s gone. the music business must build a better infrastructure for those in need & destigmatize mental health struggles. I only wish him peace. pic.twitter.com/sZoCjERRjv
