
The much anticipated RPMM Festival in Porto has just announced the final names for its first edition on July 28-29, 2018,Ā and as expected, the organizers went all out.
Gracing the festival are the likes of Jackmaster, Matt Tolfrey, Margaret Dygas, Barac, DāJulz, Mella Dee, Patrice Scott, Jasper James, Matthias Tanzmann, Art Department, Death on the Balcony, Kenny Glasgow, Nitin, Robin Ordell, Geddes, Varhat, Alexis Raphael,Ā among many others. Indeed, RPMM Festival is shaping up to be a delightful showcase of over 50 local and international underground artists plus production from artistic director Jonny TV.
RPMM is set to be an expressionist heaven, thanks to its venue at the beautiful and historic Alfandega, a 12th century UNESCO Heritage site, as well as at various other satellite venues around Porto. Attendees will not only have the music to enjoy to, but also the plenty of delights the city has to offer.Ā Porto itself offers many great cultural attractions including record shops such as Vinyl Disc, Harborage, Porto Calling and Musak Record Shop, plus a wealth of cultured bars in the city centre that offer indoor drinking and dancing or places to relax on the streets and take in the town. Plenty of clubs such as Baxia Bar, Plano B, Gare Porto and live music spots like Rum and Hot Five Jazz Spot offer a wealth of opportunities to soak up the local music scene, and itās also worth a walking tour through the medieval streets of Portoās Downtown, eating fish at Matosinhos and watching the city from the best view point, Serra do Pilar.

The latest wave of names bring more world class talents to the festival, including Scottish party starters Jackmaster and Jasper James, Leftroom label head Matt Tolfrey, No 19ās Jonny White AKA Art Department and his former collaborator turned solo artist Kenny Glasgow, as well as Circo Loco long standing resident Matthias Tanzmann.
More minimal sounds will come from stage partner MEOKO who has brought Romania’s Barac, Joseph Williams, French artist Varhat, and Portuguese minimal artist Cleymoore and Geddes. Partners Half Baked will bring the favorite lady of minimal Margaret Dygas and Robin Ordell whilst Ibiza Voice and Keep On Dancing will host even more huge talent with the likes of Bass Cultureās DāJulz, Detroitās deep house don Patrice Scott, lo-fi favourite Mella Dee and many more.

The festival has previously revealed the participation of artists such as Ćme DJ, Matthew Dear, Francesca Lombardo, Guy Gerber and Damian Lazarus, and will be presented to you by stage hosts such as Half Baked, MEOKO, Ibiza Voice, Keep On Dancing, MusiK@ll, You Are We and more, making this a more epic and unforgettable event.
