Sven Väth made history in Frankfurt today, being the first DJ ever to receive the prestigious Goetheplakette Medal. The Goethplakette (Badge of Goethe) is an award presented by the city of Frankfurt to recognize those whose individual achievements have helped to spread awareness of Frankfurt and its rich cultural history throughout the world. Presented by Mayor Peter Feldman, the award is truly deserved by Sven Väth, one of Germany’s greatest techno pioneers.
